When should I call admissions?
We encourage you to reach out to our admissions team at your earliest convenience. We understand that taking that initial step may be daunting, but we assure you that now is the ideal time to make the call. Whether you are seeking information or simply seeking a compassionate ear to listen, we are here for you, prepared to engage in a supportive conversation.
What if my loved one doesn't know I'm calling and is not ready?
If your loved one is unaware of your intention to reach out and may not be ready for support, now is still the perfect time to make that call. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns. We believe there is no better moment than the present to explore the various treatment options available at Pride Detox. If you're uncertain about whether your loved one is in need of substance use treatment, we are here to alleviate your concerns and provide guidance.
Planning the treatment process ahead of time before discussing it with your loved one is often a wise approach. This way, when you have that conversation and if they are ready, you will have a well-prepared plan waiting for them. If you require assistance, we have professional interventionists ready to provide their expertise and support.
Ready For Detox Now, What Are The Next Steps?
We arrange a pre-assessment, conducted over the phone, which lasts approximately 15 minutes.
Once your initial assessment is complete, we will proceed to verify your insurance coverage with your insurance company. This process typically takes between 30 minutes and one hour to complete. If you do not carry health insurance, we will explore alternative payment options and discuss them with you.
Once the assessment is finalized and insurance or payment arrangements have been made, you will have an admission/arrival time.
Packing for residential treatment is simple. Bring a few comfortable outfits, shoes, undergarments, and personal hygiene products, enough for 1 week. You will have access to laundry. Bring all prescribed medication in their pharmacy bottles, ID, and insurance card.
Why Choose An LGBTQ Affirming Detox & Treatment?
LGBTQ-affirming care liberates individuals, granting them a sense of freedom and authenticity. It encompasses treatments provided by knowledgeable healthcare providers who comprehend the necessary interventions to support LGBTQ+ individuals. This inclusive approach involves social interventions, such as the use of correct names and pronouns, as well as supporting gender expression through clothing, makeup, hairstyles, and any other means that allow individuals to feel aligned with their true selves. Emotional and behavioral interventions are also integral, involving clinicians who possess a deep understanding of the traumas that the LGBTQ community experience and can assist individuals in navigating the challenges of trauma by creating a safe and comfortable environment. Feeling safe, detoxing with LGBTQ peers in a residential detox created by a queer founder will provide the space for recovery to begin. At Pride Detox, feeling free to be your authentic self allows you to concentrate on learning how to live a substance-free life. It's hard enough to take the step to enter detox and treatment, but knowing you will be with LGBTQ folk just like you, makes it that much easier.
